Roy Ayers JID002 is the second installation in the Jazz Is Dead catalog.  This album features eight original songs by Adrian Younge and Ali Shaheed Muhammad, in collaboration with, Roy Ayers, the 1970s godfather of Neo-Soul. Roy Ayers JID002 echoes the sentiments of Ayer's 1970s classic period (which produced the oft-sampled “Everybody Loves The Sunshine,” “Searchin’” and “We Live In Brooklyn, Baby”). All songs produced by Adrian Younge & Ali Shaheed Muhammad. Recorded and mixed by Adrian Younge at Linear Labs, the preeminent analog studio of Los Angeles, CA.
